  1. Ja, what you have should be plenty. But what are you going to volunteer for? Just remember that the violent criminal element around the country is getting bolder by the day due to lax police and their corruption. Be wary, very wary.

  2. You'll have enough-it's your safety I'm worried about. Have you researched everything properly and do you have people who will look after you properly?

  3. If that is excluding accomodation then it's more than enough and you'll probably still have left over money for other junk lol.

  4. i thinks that more than enough. The way i worked it out u wont need more than R200 per day(unless u buying gifts or going on tours). So what u have is more than enough

  5. The R13600 should be more that enough.

  6. depends how much you wanna spend!

  7. When I went to Cape Tpwn a year and a half ago, I found it to be very cheap. Clothes shopping was only a little cheaper, but the price of eating out was often much less than half the price of eating out in the UK. Drinks are also much cheaper, doubt you'd spend much more than the equivalent of £35 on a drinking night out - and that would get you pretty hammered. Not sure about prices in supermarkets, although alcohol in supermarkets is very cheap again and food I would imagine would be reasonable considering eating out in restaurants is so cheap! You'll love it there it's a fab place and in my opinion and from my experience, people telling you it is an expensive place are wrong! Hope that helps! x

  8. that sounds like enough. as long as you are getting free accomodation and transport, it means you will have R2000 per week for spending money ... a lot of people earn that for a months work.

dinner is about R100 for steak & drinks at average resturants. Takeaways are less (maybe R50) and resturants on the V&A waterfront are more.

I went to the UK at Christmas, your groceries are cheaper than ours! And that was BEFORE all the prices went up!

  9. If it is just for food and drink and not for renting a place by yourself as well, then it should be more than enough. The prices did go up for food recently, but compared to Europe it is still relatively cheap.
