How much spending money will 2 people need for two weeks in cancun,mexico all Inclusive?

I have a general rule when travelling:

$150 per 'travel day' for 2 people, which I rarely spend (except on Duty-Free).

Travel-days are the day you get there and the day you leave.

$100 per person for 1 off-site excursion.

After that, for an All Inclusive, I'll only budget about $10/day/person, knowing that I won't spend that on most days, but it'll accumulate for 5 or 6 days then I can go spend 5 or 6 days' worth.

So, in summary:

$300(2*150) + 200 (2*100) +280(10*2 *14) = $780 for 2 weeks.

I would NOT take this money with me however, aside from travel-day money... at least down to the Cancun area, where ATM's are everywhere, as mentioned above.

It depends on the resort you are staying, from 2,200US to 3,500US aprox, check the Park Royal Cancun www.royal-holiday.com and the Palace Resorts www.palaceresorts.com, this last one is the most expensive and the firs one is one of the cheapest but nice resorts.

Depends on your lifestyle .. It will cost you a lot more in others touristy sunny places.

If you go clubing then that will cost you large.

If you go to the beach or hang out at the pool ,well.

You are close enough to travel to Playa del Carmen and take a ferry to Cozumel and all costs very little

I believe all inclusive serve up some booze as well.

Take some cash and take your bank card.  There are A.T.M S everywhere and you will get the rate that your bank at home is giving on that particular day.(plus a small usage fee)

There is no need to take a lot of cash that you will be worried about.

I like to use back-up systems such as cash, bank cards. credit cards and the safety of travelers checks.

Do NOT exchange your money at home.  There are Casas de Cambio there that keep better hours than the banks.

Cajero  Automatico is the sign for A.B.M. It simply means automatic cashier if the are not obvious (Most Are)
