I'll be staying in a timeshare hotel, in Kilkenny. I'm just wondering how much I will need for cheap food and such. We will be renting a car, so how much would the gas be to fill a small, economy sized car?

  1. Certainly not 2000 dollars for the very simple reason that the local currency is the euro.

  2. €1,500

  3. I dont think u need anything like what these poeple are saying! ur in a time share so does that mean u have kitchen etc that you can buy some cornflakes and milk for breakfast?? That will be apx €8 for the week!! Lunchs can range from a sambo in a deli €5 to pub lunch apx €10. Dinner of an evening, most restaurants are apx €20 for main course and maybe €7 for starter and dessert. Most restaurants do very good early bird offers, 3 course for apx €25. Bottle of house wine €20.

A small car for the week depending how much driving, if its only around Kilkenny area should only cost bout €60 in petrol. Good nite out drinking will prob cost bout €80/€90.

Theres loads of tourist attractions around Kilkenny, make sure u go see the castle and lots of shops so suppose depending how mad you want to go buying things will determine how much u need for that!!

Check out www.ireland.ie to see whats on! Have a great time :)

  4. I live in Ireland. It is a very expensive country. It all depends on what you intend to do. Eating out, going to the pub, Public transport, visiting tourist centres. They will make your spending money disappear very quickly. But I think you would get away with €1500. It would also depend on what part of Ireland you are going to. Dublin would be an expensive city to visit. For example if you have a pint of Guinness when you are over. In Dublin it costs €5.00. In the midlands its € 3.40.

Hope you have nice time in September and you get good weather.

Ok to answer your question about how much you'd need for fuel. Allow for €120.00.

  5. 2000 dollars

  6. i live in irelnad and it is very expensive you should be ok with about 600 euro

  7. Lots. Allow €200 a day at least, €300 if you're staying in an expensive hotel.

Eating as restaurants is expensive. Try cafes or pubs, you can usually eat well at those for a bit less.

  8. depends hw much u plan on spending where ur going and what ur doing,
