  1. For spending money for essentials such as 3 dinners (NOT in a top restaurant !!!!!), 3 low-cost Brunches, drinks etc count roughly 1000 USD for the 2 of you. With this you're on the safe side....

Of course, cheaper ....or even costlier is always possibe !

  2. I would take $400 if I was a rich person. If I was a non-millionaire without a house there and for some reason I would think 3 nights there were worth it for some reason I'd probably take $300 but I'd probably have to walk there first

  3. first of all................don't eat or drink at the champs elysée, It's just so expensive. And i'm french !!!!!!

for lunch, you can find a meal between 8 and 12€........

If you ask for water and if you don't want a specific one (evian, vittel, badoit.... ) say "un pichet d'eau".

if you wanna eat at the normal price, you just have to avoid  touristic places !!

You will find Mc do or quick ( the same thing ) almost everywhere.

Nos ancetres les gaulois, it's a restaurant............... I went there once (downstairs) it's crazy (check the web site). You will have to make a reservation. The location is great and during the week it's packed !!

Pizzeria are not very expensive normally.... And french people makes really good pizza !!!

I'm sure with 50€ each and per day............it'll be enough !!

Hope you will enjoy your stay !!

  4. You should probably take little money at all.  Get your money out of an ATM when you are there.  Their atm machines are compatible with US debit cards, and pulling out money from ATMs gives you the best exchange rate available.  It will save you much more money than if you take US cash and exchange it for Euros.

If you want to eat on the cheap, you can do so.  You could get a pastry and fruit for breakfast for a few Euros, and an inexpensive sit-down dinner will run about 10-15 Euros.  And the expected tip in France is more around 10% than 15-20 like in the US.  Don't forget to have money for public transportation, admission to places like the Eiffel tower, and all that stuff.  You should be able to do it on $50 a day or less if you will be frugal, and it should be very easy to do on $100 a day.

    Have fun!!

  5. I'd take £50 each per day to cover food, shopping and trips.

Like in all cities, there are restaurants that cater for every budget, so really take whatever you can afford, and find somewhere to eat that matches that.

  6. It depends on how much you want to buy...DUH!!

That said, don't carry all your cash at one time. If one of the infamous Parisian pickpockets steals your wallet and your entire savings are in there, you will be very much SOL.

    bon appetit

  7. If you go out every night, I would suggest  at least $ 40.00 -50.00 each. For breakfast and lunch find one of those streets with open markets, stores with some of their produce outside. You will find everything you like and not too expensive. For lunch $ 20 to 30 each if its substantial food (this includes a bottle of good country wine to share) and for breakfast, go to a street cafe and have a coffee with croissants, say $15 each. The lunch picknick you can enjoy in one of the beautiful parks or along the Seine river. You will find that many Parisians do the same! Generally food is expensive but of excellent quality.
