How much strongly USA will increase manufacture of the weapon?

Mass media of US and UK use the best efforts to restore cold war with Russia. It seems to me that some military organizations in it are very interested.

It would appear to me that the best effort to re-establish a Cold War is currently being done by Russia in Georgia.  The US military is slightly increasing troop levels because they were, very honestly, way too low after all the "cost savings" measures of the 1990's.  The military in the UK and the US do not operate independently of the political process so not huge increase will happen unless the politicians and then through them the newspapers know about it.  We are using too many National Guard and Reserve units in Iraq and Afghanistan because the active military does not have the manpower to fulfill the normal obligations and an increase in active forces is needed to allow more respite by the Reserve/NG components.

Dear Pavel! US is a world leader of rifled weapon per citizens. Dont U think, that's not enough.

Russian opinion says: "We're teddy bears"

US says "Geoggia too".

It is true... when we think about civilians and lie when we hear it from the oligarchical russian top - or US magnats.

In many ways, the whole principle behind Cold War still exists. Nuclear weapons still exist as a deterrent. The difference being now, is no-one is sitting with their fingers hovering over the button. Hopefully.

And hopefully we will never see any world leaders put into power who are insane enough to actually use them again as they were in the tail end of WW2.

I think the military on all sides know very well what how the media work, and are in no danger of being influenced that way. The only people led to believe such things through the media circus are the medias bread and butter customers, who are mostly conspiracy theory driven half wits in the general public.

Lets all thank Thatcher for dragging the UK into the nuclear arms race.

As for the USA increasing their weapons force who knows really. but don't look for accurate answers in the media.

The USA won't increase or decrease it's military - unless Obama gets elected - then you can expect a decrease.

The USA is presently having to refurbish/replace the weapons being used in Iraq/Afghanistan.

However, we are always bringing new  technology weapon systems online.
