Need to know what level supply to run the following on my festival stall.

Includes:

2 professional hair dryers

2 GHD's

1 laptop and printer

1 speakers

1 small CD player

phone charger

electrical heater

various lights

clippers

They are offering it in amounts of 16amp so I need to know if that is sufficient or whether I need a bigger supply

Thanks :-)

  1. It is very difficult to guess with no more details.

You really need to check each appliance's requirements.

Each appliance has a label with its max rating, either in Amps or Watts. Add them together and figure it out yourself.

    Example:

2 dryers, 500 W each = 1,000 W (assume they can both run at the same time)

    2 GHDs ??

Electrical heater - this can be big...

    Lights, say 200W x 5  = 1,000 W

    Say the total is 3,000 W. Using a 110V supply, you need  28 Amps (Amps = Power/Voltage )

32 Amps can support up to 3,500 Watts

48 Amps can support up to 5,280 W - you get the idea.
