  3. Every state is required to use the same deduction table for Federal Income Tax.  Everyone has the same percentage deducted for Social Security and Medicare.  Florida has no State income tax.

  5. Federal income taxes are the same in all states.  The only other mandatory deductions in FL are for Social Security (6.2% of the first $102k per year in 2008) and Medicare (1.45% of all wages).
