has to be related for you to uncertainty, to the not-seeing-everything (and therefore being able to love, walk through it, etc., using your imagination)?

how much disclosure would turn a pleasure into dullness for you?

  1. For me, a pleasure becomes the most pleasurable in the very moment that I come to fully understand it.  I call it the "Euphoria of Epiphany".  Unfortunately, when the euphoria wears off, the pleasure is never quite as pleasurable as it once was; however, that euphoria can be relived vicariously when I share that understanding with others.  To see their faces lighten up when it finally "clicks" for them is quite an experience in and of itself, but its not nearly as pleasurable as experiencing the euphoria for myself, which is why I love to be wrong.

  2. (to JEN) i'm MORE/LESS than a scientist, i'm a scholar

(the semantic difference is EXACTLY in your answer; i don't search for MY lust of pleasure but for MY lust of freedom)

Pleasure is BUT a nuisance to get rid of (to satisfied) as soon as possible, in order to be FREE again

  3. I like to have some disclosure in order to understand what I'm getting myself into. Yes, sometimes there can be just a bit of uncertainty which adds a thrill to the journey -I wouldn't want to know everything about a vacation (or a relationship) ahead of time, it would make the actual experience less exciting. However, I also don't want to go into the journey totally unaware of what to look for and where to go. A little bit of the unexpected is fun, too much of it is a nightmare.

  4. To me, pleasure is in Knowing and Loving..  Disclosure increases pleasure.

  5. I can "see" beyond the horizon in my mind and have no difficulty with imagination.  Even in the unseen world, there are formulas of proof, and guidelines of reason, no matter how bizarre.

  6. Not much at all.

I guess ignorance IS pleasure for some. Just not me.

  7. Pleasure is an abstract concept. I don't find pleasure in ignorance, but in discovering new things and helping others. I don't think uncertainty brings pleasure, but stress. You can channel your energies to escape from the stress and find the answers you are looking for. I find pleasure in trying to understand the world. The pleasure consists not only in the achievement, but also in the path to it.

You can't know everything, but your quest for knowledge can give you a lot of tiny pleasures. I can't find pleasure in the ordinary or in the routine. Indeed, small things can make me happy, if they come out of the blue and bring the sun back to your life. They are not uncertain, but unpredictable.

We can't see everything and even if you would, I still thing that it's better to love and to lose, than to never love at all. Pleasure is a thing of the present, thought it's memory remains.

  8. I am a scientist so disclosure EQUALS pleasure to me for many many things.

But if you are talking about not knowing the future, then I guess I find it is easier to try new things when I am not knowledgeable about possible bad outcomes.

  9. How do you suppose Mt. Fuji deals with the clouds.  Some of them hide its beauty and some provide contrast.  However, none of them effect it in reality, just in our perception.  So, which is real?

Liberation is never found - out there.

  10. The concept of Pleasure for me is in The Now. It stays for a moment and then it increases or decreases. It all depends on Now. Disclosures and Enclosures increase or decrease it according to the moment we live in. To make Pleasure everlasting, make it a part of Now and it will never go and will stay with You from moment to moment.
