  1. You'll have to know the prop pitch in order to determine thrust.

    Understand that a prop will put a load on the motor and slow the RPMs.  You'll have to make some modifications.

    With the motor turning fewer RPMs than it was designed for at any given throttle setting, it'll be "lugging" -- you'll need to re-jet the carb, to lean out the mixture.  To get it right, you'll have to learn to read spark plugs (google "reading spark plugs" to see what I mean).

  3. You might be better using a belt drive to the rear axle.  I have seen it done and it is quite effective.  I have seen the whole prop thing done, but you need a big ol shroud and lots of clearance for a prop big enough to push you around.
