How much time can you get for credit card fraud of the amount of $5,000?

i used my mom credit card and used about $5,000 on it and the credit card company asked her did she want to sign a paper so i can go to jail and do time she signed the paper so how much time can i be looking at i wonder is there a way where i can be on probation and still work to do time i just don't wanna go to jail i need help please

  1. Talk to your mom about dropping the charges. It seems that you have a history of misbehaving and your mom signed the papers, probably, out of desperation, not that I know that i'm just speculating. sit down and have a long talk with your mother. Actually beg her to drop the charges, if that's possible. Good luck and please be good.


  2. You might just have to repay the money,

    get a fine,

    & possibly probation.

    I doubt if you'll get any jail time.

  3. Not sure of the length of time, but in VA it is a felony. Depending on the Judge is how much time you would get, if any, in jail.
