How much time do you spend in front of a screen? Do you ever reflect on how dependent we’ve become on computers, televisions, and game consoles? How would you react if you were suddenly “screen-free”?

  1. Most of the time my computer is in front of me.  In the same line of sight (although slightly to the left) on the opposite side of the room is my TV, which is on almost all the time.  I'm away from this position if I get up to use the washroom and usually when I go out to eat dinner which is usually fast food.  If I go to a restaurant where I have to order and then wait for the food I'll usually bring my laptop with me.  If I go to McDonald's they have a TV there.

I sleep in front of a screen, although that TV is turned off, so I won't count it.

At this moment, I can see 4 computer screens (although only one is turned on).

  2. At this point in my life....................bored.............. my job and my relaxation when I get home from work...........take away my job & relaxation?!  Gas is too expensive to go do anything else!!

Notice how everyone got a thumbs down?  What kind of answer are people looking for?  Sounds like everyone was honest here!

  3. i spend 4 hours in front of the computer

2 hours in front of the T.V.

if the world suddenly became screen-free i think i would feel totally lost on the other hand

starin at these screens gives me severe migranes

so i will be relieved of it

  4. I spend my entire life in front of a screen...

    Just kidding.

I probably spend half my life in front of a screen.

I definitely do reflect on how dependent I am on computers, but maybe not televisions or game consoles.  Computers help me feel connected.

If I were suddenly screen-free, I'd initially feel relieved of all the stimuli and then I'd feel bored and disconnected.  Hopefully after I'd make it so that my screenless life is more stimulating.

  5. One and a Half hours

I hope that we don't start a whole education system on the computers (which we'll probably do in the future) because I can't learn when I'm on the computer. It's just physically impossible for me to sit and stare.

I think I'd be find if I was suddenly "screen free" because how are you meant to live your life if you are on the computer all the time?

  6. my reaction would be getting alot more work done!!!!!!!!!

  7. About 4-5hrs in front of a computer screen

About 3 hrs in front of a tv screen

If suddnely screen free maybe I wont know what to do.

  8. I spend a lot of time on the computer (when my daughter is sleeping late at night). I had the internet off from october to feb. I just found something else to spend my time doing. I read more books, spent a lot more time with my daughter. It sucked at first but I got over it. I was glad when I got the internet back on though.

  9. 12 hours almost :-(

Yeah we have become very dependent on screens (TC, Computer, LAPTOPS, GAMING, CALCULATORS etc)..

I will be very happy if its screen free as screens affected my eyesight and creating more and more problems to my vision.

  10. 11 hours..

can't imagine my life without this technology.. :(
