If your destination is Malad (East) then should be around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

If it is Malad (West), it's a very densly crowded SV Road, should be about 2 hours or bit more.

If you are comfy about train travel, it will be about 50 minutes or so even by a slow train ( catch Borivli train). In the early morning hours trains are usually not crowded as you will be travelling in the  opposite directions. There are few Churchgate to Malad trains,too. Please enquire timings at the station.

I have  misread your question. I thought you were traveling from Malad to Colaba.

If it is from Colaba to Malad, then you can make it around 1 to 1.5 hours.

The highway stretch from Andheri to Malad is quite busy even in the mornings.

Why not take a train? Trains from Churchgate will be quite empty in the mornings. You will reach quicker!
