how long can someone be in jail for a simple fight at the mall for like 1 minute with only a few black eyes nothing real serious? there over the age of 18

if there are no major injuries you could just end up on probation for a short time.  depends on if the parties are pressing charges or not or if the officer just took a report for documentation.
