How much time it takes to open up a file for sponsoring parents after we submit the application in Canada?

Me and my wife are both PR in Canada and submitted the application for sponsering parents since last year to CPC Missisuaga

Have you received the letter of acceptance for sponsorship already??  This is the first step.

If you have then have the applicants went for their medical???  If yes, then all you can do is wait.

You, as the sponsor, can go to your MP and ask for them to look at your file with immigrations.  They can call CIC on your behalf if you give them authorization.  It may take a few days but they can actually talk to the person assigned to your file.  This can prove helpful if there is a problem with your file as you can find out immediately and go about resolving it.
