Rent has always been paid on time, renter has created no problems for landlord or other tenants Landlord is claiming financial difficulties and health problems. Landlord is requesting tenant move within 1 week, or 3 weeks at most. request was made by mail and sent memo style, nothing official.

  1. PA Law:

If rent is paid monthly...30 days

    Weekly...7 days.

    Bi Monthly...2 weeks.

  2. your lease should state the amount of time you have.  if no lease, you have to be given 30 days. the landlord cannot give you just one week to move out.  the notice does not have to official but only in writing.

talk to your landlord and state that is not enough time to leave.  you need at least 30 days.  if your rent is paid up he cannot ask you to leave before the month is up.  good luck

  3. 30 days and if your being evicted 14 days notice before the eviction is filed against you then 30 to move out

  4. Seems to me that a good tenant like that would be one that a landlord would want to keep. In any case one or three weeks is not legal. He has to give you 30 days written notice. It does not have to be anything official and he does not have to give you a reason.
