My appointment is at 9 am, and the ceremony is at 1. I would need to be done by 11 or 11:30 latest to be at the church early. I may also be getting makeup.

  1. An hour and 30 min.Make up can be done in 45 min.

  2. it took the salon a hour on my hair so u should have enough time but please get a test run done be4 ur wedding just go in like a week b4 and have them do ur hair how ur wanting it i made the mistake of not doing that and just showing the lady at the salon the style i wanted and she said she could do it but the day of the wedding couldnt so i had 2 get something different that i really didnt like much at all

  3. Discuss with your stylist and makeup artist.

Let them know you need to be done no later than 11am and see what time you would have to be there.

  4. If you are getting just your hair done, an hour. I just called my salon today about it...It's going to be me and 2 girls...well they gave us 10am-noon...30 minutes for each bridesmaid and 1 hour for me. If you are getting makeup that I'd leave another 30 minutes for.

EDIT I agree with Riley on a few parts...you should see how the stylist has done makeup for people...I saw a bride who had it 'professional done' and it looked like c**p! There was way too much, it was way too dark and she looked scary enough in the pictures so you could imagine how she looked in person.

I didn't want to feel rushed on my wedding either thats why our hair appointment we took from 10-noon...and the wedding is at 3.

  5. Be very organized that day and you'll make it but there won't be a lot of room for error.

  6. Sounds like you may be rushed a little. How about appointment for 8:30? This way you won't feel rushed at all and do your makeup last and it'll be fresh.

  7. Wow.  You are going to be crunched for time.  Your wedding ceremony is really early.  I didn't want to be rushed on my wedding day.  I wanted to be relaxed and enjoy each moment.  I got my hair done at 11 and my ceremony was at 4:30.  If your ceremony is that early then you should just do your own hair to save time.  Also, I did my own makeup.  I feel like when you get it done they use too much makeup.  You should look natural and not overly made up.

  8. I had both my hair and make-up done at a salon on my wedding day. Alot of people suggest having a "practice run" performed with your stylist/makeup person. That way, you have an idea of how long it will take and if any issues arise you can be prepared ahead of time. I, however didn't do a practice run and lucky for me, everything turned out great, my stylist was a professional and had performed a TON of special occasion hairdos, so, it's also important to consider how experienced the people are who are doing your makeup and hair. Hope this helps and congratulations!

  9. That depends entirely on the stylist.  My old stylist could whip up an amazing do in 30 minutes.  I've never met anyone else that talented.  Make sure you do your hair before your makeup and don't spray hairspray after your make up is done.  If you get hairspray on your face it will cause shiny spots in your pictures.  Talk to your stylist and see what they say.  I also highly recommend a trial run with the head piece and veil.
