How much time should I allow if travelling through London?

I have an important meeting monday morning in South London. I'll be travelling from the midlands so how much time should I allow from the 25 to central london? cheers

  1. It depends on the time of day and the area in South London. The M1 is always slow from before the roadworks at Jct 10 to the M25 off ramp. The AA website can give an estimate of journey time if you input postcodes in the Find A Route section.


  2. Average speed in London is usually 10 - 12 mph but slower in rush hour.

    Provided the trains do not play up you may find it easier by rail.  You are going to be less frazzled.

  3. a hour and half if your driving av.speed 7mph
