How much time should it take to paint a 13'x9' room with 8' ceilings in two colors?

The room is rectangular, with the two longer walls measuring 13' wide and the two shorter walls about 9' wide. The ceilings are 8' high. If my math is correct, that's 352 sq ft. I'll be painting it myself.

I would like the opposing walls to match. That is, I have two colors of paint (light and dark), and I'd like the long walls to be one color and the shorter walls to be the other color. This means, before I start painting the second color, I'm going to have to tape/cover the edges of the adjacent walls so as not to overlap the colors.

I've already taped along the floor/ceiling, primed, and laid down sheets on the floor, and I have all of the paint, rollers, ladder, etc. Basically, I'm ready to go.

My question: how long should it take to complete this room? It's been a while since I've painted a room, and I can't remember how long it takes for paint to dry. For what it's worth, the humidity here is about 60%. Any ideas how long I should expect to wait for the first two walls to dry?

  1. we call it a day job if you have it prepped already sure less than a 6 hours.paint your 2 long walls then start on short walls do the cut in on corners last that way it  should be dry enough

  2. Wait 2 hours but you can use a fan to speed up.!!! Pay attention to the edge at the taping. Usually here dry a bit slower if you put a lot of paint. If it's try to touch, go and paint the second coat.
