My total came to 13.37, and gave him 15 and told him to keep the change. I felt that he wasn't very happy, but he wasn't rude or anything.

  1. It is a tip dude. A TIP..that means you can give whatever amount of money you want to or you don't even have to give any at all. But of course, there are people that think a tip is like something they need to be owed...I wouldn't mind if people don't give me tips even though they help a worker a lot. Anyways, it is your choice to give a tip or not..

  2. that's exactly what i would do. i usually tip a dollar or two.

  3. About 10%, so you gave him that.  You could have added another dollar but he just delivered your pizza, he did not bring you drinks and such.

  4. 1,ooooooooooo

  5. i dont think it was how much the tip was but the way you said to him he could keep the change as a tip

  6. Alot of people don't even tip and delivery people remember who they are.I generally give 15% if the pizza is hot and the driver is nice. They don't make much money and now that gas is up they really count on their tips.I worked doing that.

  7. do about 10 percent. dont be ignorant like some of these other rude people.

if u r from the USA, u should know that we tip here. DO UNTO OTHERS AS U WILL WANT THEM TO DO UNTO U!

  8. If they do not charge a delivery charge then I would give a tip, if it came to 13.37 I would give them beteeen 15.00-17.00 if they charge a delivery fee I would round it up to 14.00 and say keep the change.

  9. I'm a good tipper.... I probably would have gave $5

  10. I do 4 bucks every time...no matter if it's 1 pizza or four pizzas.

it's the same drive time and they still only have to come to the door once.

    4 bucks is good

  11. I used to deliver pizzas.    I know I always felt like the person was cheap when they didn't round up the change.  Your driver probably would have been happier with $2 even though it's only 37 cents more.  I usually tip a minimum of $3 and if the order is over $25 I'll tip $5.

  12. A pizza delivery driver performs the same type of service as a waiter in a restaurant, that of bringing you your food, and should be tipped the same with a minimum of $2.00

  13. Ask yourself, "Does my job give me tips?" If the answer is no then do not give the pizza person a tip. Don't worry he still gets paid by the company which hired him. If you feel the next time his/her service is not what you expect call into the company and let them know how you feel. If they are smart they should realize the customer is always right and fire the individual employee. If not take your business elswhere.

  14. I think a standard tip (regardless for pizza delivery, restaurant, etc) ranges from 10%-20% of the total price. You gave him a $1.63 tip, which is a little over 10%. Not bad, and better than nothing, of course. Maybe the guy was just having a rough night and his mind was on other things, but came across as being unhappy with your tip. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

  15. 20% or more no matter what don't look cheap it just makes you look like a jerk.

  16. I know a pizza delivery person. Most of the time they get

$2. However I don't think this is enough. They are doing a service for you and gas is so expensive, I say give at least $3. It would cost you time and gas to go out and get it yourself. Have a little compassion for the people doing a service for you. I'm sure they'd rather be home watching TV. Most of the drivers do this as a second job just to make ends meet. They can't make a living doing this kind of work, so they're hurting. Help them out if you can.
