How much to build basement?

Well the basement is already under the house just not finished. So how much would it cost to finish it? It's about 1800 sq. ft.

I would say building one washroom and one room. No kitchen.

And also can anybody give me links or names of some really good CANADIAN contractors that do this. Also what is the average cost per sq. ft to do the basement?

I am not in Canada, neither am I a proffessional. But I was told that the price is high because of the washroom, (water and sewer lines involve a lot of work.) A simple room should not be too expensive.

I saw 'Flip That House', and the basement cost $20,000.00 for about the same amount of space. Look up shows from HGTV and Holmes on Homes and ask questions there. They may be able to help.
