How much to charge for babysitting a 4 year old from 8-4 in the Summer?

I don't get paid much i get $4 an hr. and I take care of a 2 ear old too and sometimes a 6 week old baby who sleeps most of the time.

I think it should depend on the age..... if your 15 then maybe around $150 a week. but if your older && can drive (meaning you take the kid to the playground or other fun things) i would pay more, due to gas prices.

My friend is willing to babysit my two kids $20 a day per kid, they are ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2. Or a $100 a week per child and she's in her thirty's.

I work 6:30am-5:10 pm and get $30 a day

The little girl is 14 months

You can't really do a whole day by hourly pay. Because if someone payed 10 dollars an hour for a day...that would be a lot of money. (good for you...but I haven't met someone willing to pay that much yet)

So I would say around $30...childcare workers don't tend to get payed much.

Also..I have heard it depends on the age. The older you are the more you will most likely get payed (more experience and you go places etc.)

If you go to a licensed provider their rates will be around $130/week (in my area) or $3/hr.  Not much... I used to do licensed daycare and now I'm back in school for my RN.  I took a loss for the past 3 years.  Loved the kids, but it cost me more money to run the daycare than I made in return.  This summer I am enjoying my own kids and have the freedom to come/go as we please.  I may not be making any money this way, but at least I'm not spending more than I made to keep it going!
