you didnt mention the disability of the child, is it only one day out of the week (that was my iinterpretation of once a week) if its only one day 30$ is not asking too much... by the way it is illegal for a certified daycare to charge more than the normal going rate because of a disability.  hiring a private sitter is different though they set their prices how they wish.
