Question:

How much to feed baby red eared slider?

I have two baby red eared sliders that are about 1 1/2 inches in length. They each eat 2-3 small crickets, 2-3 reptomin baby turtle pellets, and possibly 1-2 pieces of zoomed's krill turtle treats. They also have an aquatic plant growing in their tank that they can eat whenever (obviously). Is this too much to feed them, and if it is how much should I feed them?

  1. Sounds about right. I feed whatever a turtle will eat at one time, then hold off until the next feeding. If you put live fish (not goldfish) in the tank, the turtles can feed when they are hungry and get a pretty well balanced diet too.
