How much to install a blower, please read

how much would it cost to put a blower on a v8/ do you need a turbo if so how cheap can i install one to a v8

You can either put on a blower (supercharger) or a turbo(charger). The blower is pulley driven while the turbo uses the exhaust gasses to drive itself. As for cost, either way will not be cheap because of the need for other changes to accommodate the new intake system.

Blower need  low compression>Different crank>As the stock 1 won't take the torque on the pulley end> Turbo is a completely different exhaust driven assembly both are $$$$

it depends on what kind of vehicle you're looking at, the type of power gains you are looking for, and what the engine can handle.  I know for a 99 cobra, it'll cost me roughly 5,000 for a good kennebell supercharger kit, or roughly 7-8,000 for a hellion twin turbo kit.  it is not cheap to put forced induction on some vehicles.

It depends on labor costs.

Looking at two hours top. Fifty bucks an hour or so.

Do you really need a blower?

It would be fairly cheap to install.
