  1. HEY jonnys right  I ask the same queston a few mounts ago jonny gave me same adv went to tenn found a pro it was fifity a hr it was well worth it it greatly improved my game now play for a little money and have won three local tourments

  2. Check at your local pool hall. They may have a contact for lessons. The place I go has an employee (former pro) that gives lesson for $40/hour. The lessons are given at the pool hall and includes free table time.

  3. Hire a pro if your serious Any good player can show you but can you learn prob not

A guy in Aspen wanted to give me lessons on how to ski but the cast on both legs didnt give me much faith in him

Or for a hundred a game i could give a few pointers --I  know im suppose to be but im not a good teacher i send the cards in but just enough per yr

  4. Teaching and playing are two completely different skill sets.  The best teachers may not always be the most successful players and vice-versa.  If you want quality instruction and not just an exhibition, go to a BCA (Billiard Congress of America) certified training academy.  Visit the BCA website to find a school.  If you would prefer private instruction, the entire list of active and reserve instructors can also be found on the website.  Prices will vary.  I went through Cue-U: The College of Pool & Billiards in Rockford, IL as both a student and instructor.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  5. It all depends who's doing the teaching. Some have a rep because they are well known and charge more. Others will charge what I call a reasonable price. Ask around your local area. There should be players there that would spend time with you for a few bucks per hour.

That's what I did. Plus get a book that shows the fundamentals.

And then the part everybody likes best... practise, practise, practise. Good luck, Nigel8ball

  6. Karen Corr in Pen. charges $100/hr. for lessons.

Allison Fisher and Gerda Hofstatter offers  pool school for about $2,000 for the entire weekend.

Many of the male players also offer lessons. Check on their websites.
