  1. Too much. Have you ever tried Skype? It's free from your computer to another computer. You can also use Skype to phone a land line in the States. Look on their web site for info. No I'm not a Skype salesman!!!! Also Tesco do a good computer phone. Buy 2 and send one to your friend in the states.

  2. Go online to "Skype.com"...download it...you can call anywhere in the continental United States for free, I think Canada is included...and oversees is very cheap....don't use your land line phone the price is enormous...Skype uses the internet which is already worldwide, it doesn't use the phone lines....Get an account, you'll be cheaper off on the first call...

  3. it would depend on what tarriff you are on

i would suggest buying an international phone card and then you use freephone number to connect so it costs you nothing on your bt bill .then the card charges like 5pence a minute

bettewr still if you both sign up to skype it would be completly free

  4. i believe its a little more then a dollar a minute. but you can definitely look it up

  5. The information should be in your local phone directory where worldwide codes are given.  Find the right code and then find out from BT website.

  6. if you get the international option you can call the USA land line or mobile free for up to an hour it cost £5 a month check out the link below

  8. Way too much, Google cheap international calls and get a prefix number that will allow you to call anywhere in the world legally for 2p a minute to fixed phone 10p to a mobile, you can use BT to use them and  there are plenty of providers about.
