Hmm...Let me ask this question first why do you need to replace the head gasket? Chances are due to engine overheating. In that case due to years of experience to repair the engine correctly by tearing down have it tested at a machine shop and rebuilt back, esp on a Cadillac the 4.6 NorthStar, I would reccommend going with another engine. It's very costly but if you want to go with the build expect easily upwards of $2 grand, of course depending on shops reputation and labor rate. Good Luck!
