  1. About $150 for the sensor (keep in mind this is OEM) you should be able to find a cheaper one. And around 1/2hr of labor, so 1/2 of what a shop chargers an hr. I would say around $50.

  2. cost!!!doit yourself, youcan get what you need at the autoparts store, its not hard atall.but if you want to have it done ,itshouldn't cost more than $100.00 at the most

  3. Well, Jettaowner is wrong, After the vehicle warms to normal operating temperature the computer goes into closed loop operation, meaning  the computer uses ALL it's sensors and actuators to maintain optimal fuel and emission control. The O2 sensor is very important for proper fuel trim. It is responsible for monitoring the air-fuel mixture during light load and cruise operation and helps maintain the best mixture for fuel economy and emisiion control. The cost to replace it is dependant on the repair shop that does it, the quality of the part and the amount of time it takes to do it. If you went to Autozoo and had the codes pulled you must have further diagnosis. The "codes" are only alerting one to the appropriate electrical circuit affected. Most often people look at the descrition of the code and they see the word "O2 sensor " in the description and start replacing good parts, MIL (check engine light) comes back on.

My advice is to let a professional diagnose the problem completely before you replace parts. Good luck

  4. you dont need that d**n sensor so free....have an s10 broken sensor 3 years still runs fine
