  1. If you want to save money you can get generic non-volvo rotors. This is what I did through my dealer and paid around $200. They had a one year warranty, at the 11-month mark I felt some vibrations took it in had the rotors swapped out free of charge. It was worth it because genuine parts are much more expensive, although they may have a warranty also.

  2. rotors for this model can vary in price from 65.00 to 85.00 each depending on whether abs and overall diameter.

brake pads can vary from 25.00 to 65.00 depending on organic metallic or ceramic pad material used and if they come from a fly by night discount store or are a name brand [it has been my experience to best stick with name brand pads] [minimum squeal ,short stopping distances, normal pedal effort, and long life.]

note some vented rotors coming out of china have not held up well in salt environment's [rust chokes the vents then the rotor overheats and warps]

  3. I am in Ontario don't know where you are

    have 91 740 turbo

spent 500+ on pads and rotors for all 4

if you are totally skint do rear only as the car is rear wheel drive

then do front when you have more money

I will recommend a garage but only if you ask

otherwise it looks like I am promoting them???

assure you I am not in the biz

I'm broke!  If I was a mechanic would be rich! ha!

  4. I don't know what your local dealer charges, but where ever you go, you're looking at least a couple hundred bucks for new front pads and rotors.
