I'm 16 years old, and after reading an article on the damage done by ingesting too much fluoride, am a bit concerned that I might be using too much toothpaste. I use enough to cover the head of the toothbrush. Is that too much?

  1. It's fine. Unless you are squeezing whole bottles of toothpaste into your mouth and swallowing it all, it's not a big deal.

  2. No

  3. Don't swallow it and you're fine...

  4. I use a thin strip that covers the center of the toothbrush but not the tips. I don't know if that's too much, but it works for me.

  5. If you are too worrried buy a toothpaste at Holland & Barrett that contains no fluoride. It  is going to be more expensive than an ordinary toothpaste but peace of mind has no price!!!

  6. that amount is fine, those sutdies are done with ppl ingesting the whole tube of toothpaste at one time. Just make sure you try and not swallow the toothpaste and you will be okay.

  7. i use about the same amount.

but if it concerns you then just put as much as half the head or certain amount that you feel comfortable using.
