Definitely depends on where you are.

Some areas get snow rarely, if ever.  For example, there have only been 2 instances of snow (flurries) recorded in San Francisco, and only 1 instance (flurries) in Miami.  However, especially in the Rockies and the Appalachians, snow falls at a much higher rate.

This is totally dependent on where you live.  For example, Bradley Airport in CT averages ~50'' of snowfall per year.

for instance, where i live, we're lucky 2 get any snow at all!! but in some places, a few feet of snowfall is completely normal!
