Question:

How much total video was actually taken on the moon during the Apollo program?

Total time of the raw footage is what I'd like to know.

  1. I've never added them up in detail, but the live video downlinks amount to (in my ballpark estimate) about 25-30 hours.  Consider also that most missions also shot 16mm film which naturally wasn't available until the film was returned and developed, which added up to an hour to each mission's surface cinematography time.
