Its a reservoir used for drinking water and there are trails that lead to it that used to be for hiking but now say no trespassing. There are only two signs in the area that say no trespassing. There are beer cans and broken beer bottles around the area but people don't go there anymore.

  1. a fine for the 1st offense and an increased fine for the second

  2. Only 2 signs that say no trespassing? How many no trespassing signs do you need to know you can't trespass where it's advertised no trespassing? One no trespassing sign is sufficient for me...And people probably don't go there anymore because of the no trespassing signs. A better person to ask about how much trouble you can get into for trespassing in a no trespassing area is the cops who are called when you go ahead and trespass. I'm sure you'll be informed when you are charged with the crimes.

  3. Ask someone from the local police department, they will be glad to tell you.

  4. There is a more important question than how much trouble you can get in. How about the safety of the water supply for your community? Is this something that you really want to do? How are you going to handle having to stand up in open court and explain to your neighbors how sorry you are for having endangered their health because you wanted to have some fun? Not everyone plays by the rules but everyone suffers the consequences. A good question to you is what kind of person are you going to be? Will you be a positive force or a negative force in your world?

  5. .   Keep going until you get a warning not to go there any more. Once you are warned (by the owner or the sheriff),  you can be prosecuted.
