my husband is my everything... but he happens to be an illegal immigrant. the cops have been coming to our house for quite sometime now we haven't been home. they told his parents that they just wanted to talk to him so he answered the door the next time he was home. they told him he had a warrent for his arrest for not going to court he got arrested because we completely forgot about going to court. i love him so much. but i'm so afraid he is going to get deported to mexico. he came here illegally when he was six. he speaks perfect english and has paid taxes... and everything. i don't want to loose him but i'm afraid they will look deep into his citizenship. also how much trouble do you think he will get into?

  1. He could have filed for citizenship a long time ago if he came here illegally when he was six.  I honestly don't feel that sorry for y'all.  Illegal immigration is a problem in this country and it has to be addressed...

  2. "how much trouble can you get into for having a warrant and not knowing about it? "

The same amount of trouble as having a warrant and knowing about it.

"also how much trouble do you think he will get into?"

Virtually no way to know based on the information you provided.

  3. No one forgets to go to court , its just one more example of disrespect of the law .

I don't know why you came here to get bashed but here goes .

I have no compassion for you or your criminal illegal alien husband .

My hope is he is in Maricopa county " Joes jail " and he serves a good long time locked up before he is deported .

    That is the law .

  4. HE WILL GET DEPORTED. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FAST IS BAIL HIM OUT AND THEY WILL GIVE HIM A COURT DAY STILL AND FROM THERE IT DEPENDS WHAT KIND OF PROBLEM HE HAS WITH THE LAW & IF HAS ANY CRIMINAL RECORD. IF ITS HIS 1ST TIME HE WONT HAVE NO PROBLEM THAT'S IF YOU BAIL HIM OUT. MY NEIGHBOR BOYFRIEND GOT DEPORTED HE GOT STOP HE WAS DRINKING & DRIVING SHE WASN'T ABLE TO BAIL HIM OUT HE GOT 3 MONTHS IN COUNTY & FROM THERE BACK TO MEXICO.

  5. HOW CAN ONE DO NOT EVEN know he got a warrant for that matter. We know that every husband is a treasure and everything to a wife, but he is an illegal alien therefore must comply with the country rules and regulation concerning immigration policy.

If these people told him that he got a warrant for not appearing in court, then WHY IN THE WORLD HE NEVER found any in his mail box, the warrant that is or maybe he never bother to look. How can he be arrested for forgetting something he never knew in the first place.

SO HE IS NOW IN JAIL? Therefore there is a preliminary hearing concerning his case in the immigration office. Since you are admitting to forgot about going to court, they will have to penalized your husband together with the punishment of deportation likewise for his present status. Since you told us he came there illegally since six years old? Too long already. HE IS IN DEEPER TROUBLE than he is already, if you could some how hire an immigration lawyer to some how soften the impact of his penalty that would be a welcome idea.

  6. tell it to the judge and also let the judge know he is filing for his green card so he can stay in this country legally.

  7. In california, immigrant status isn't looked at too closely when its misdemeanor crime.

Felony crimes however, get the attention of I.C.E.

Outside of California, I'm not sure what's going on with deportation and I.C.E.

  8. I cannot comprehend how anyone can "forget" to go to court.  Yes, he can be deported and, no, I have no sympathy for him.  He had no choice in his immigration status at age 6 but he has certainly had sufficient time as an adult to rectify the situation.  Personal responsibility people!  You do the crime, you do the time.

  9. They may deport him. You should have looked into citizenship once you got married. You could move to Mexico with him.
