Question:

How much trouble would I get into? And more help please!?

Okay, my mom is pretty laid back about piercings.

She pierced her nose and said she won't buy me a needle until she sees how hers works out. She's been so clueless on how I've been asking her questions about sterilizing stuff and what to put the alcohol in.

So, I have that knowledge, what am I going to do with it? Pierce my cartilage of course!

Yes, I'm going to take a safety pin, and sterilize it, and pierce my cartilage. My only question is, how much trouble would I get into if I suddenly came out of the bathroom with a loop in my ear?

Also, will using a, oh maybe 8 year-old worn out stainless steel earring help infection? And, should I really use a safety pin for my carty?

I'll be using H2Ocean to help with cleaning.

THANKS!

  1. Ok i know it sounds like a good idea but it really isn't if you are going to do it either get the right equipment. There is a good chance that by doing it yourself you will shatter the cartilage. I would get it professionally done. If you do go through with it do not use an old needle and no a safety pin the curves will make it harder. Do NOT use ice because it will make it harder to puncture. Don't use the old earring it will cause infection and thats miserable take it from some one who knows i have 6 peircings. Just know what you are getting into. I got my 3rd hole done and they caught the cartilage and to this day 5 years later it still bugs me.

and in regards to the amount of trouble it all depends on your mom

  2. She was merely making a suggestion about your equipment cause why...YOU ASKED!!!  A safety pin is not proper equipment. You do realize piercing that cart hurts and is very painful right?  Silly silly girl.

  3. If you pierce your ears on a crooked angle, your earrings will not hang properly. You'd need to re-do them (if it was physically possible) or your earrings will look wrong for the rest of your life.  Please think a bit! You sound immature. Water won't prevent an infection & infections are painful & ugly.

  4. Ew.

  5. I don't suguest doing so, you should have the right equipment, or get someone who has the right stuff do it for you.
