It depends on how far you travel... what you haul... whether or not you are 'local'...

OTR and regional drivers are mostly paid by the mile, where as local drivers that are home on a daily basis are eith paid by the hour or by the run.  

You can make anywhere from $30,000 - $70,000 per year.

depending on how much time you have driving a semi. It usely you will be paid by the miles you drive,or if you are running a team.you will be be paid by how many miles the truck runs.also you can get paid by a percentage of how much the truck makes the owner.
