    it really all depends on your citizenship. Have a look at the below link to see whether you fall into the categorie of nationalities that will have to pay for the visit visa.

  2. "Hotel Guide" is right about the visa costs depending on your Nationality. But - regarding tax: Dubai International Airport charges Dhs30 airport tax on all departing passengers. Travellers will be taxed either when they buy their tickets or at the airport check-in counter.

    If you do not belong to the exemped category stated by "Hotel Guide", you'll have to pay an additional refundable Dhs 1.000 deposit for health insurance beside the visa costs. Visit visa 30 days = Dhs 500, visa for 90 days = 1.000.
