  1. The car is currently worth about £5000 dependant on condition.

    I would expect it to still be worth around £2500 in four years time, again dependant on how you look after it.

    I'm really not sure what planet people are on regarding the depreciation of BMWs: You lose less on a 3 series BMW in 3 years from new than on a Ford Focus, and they maintain used values better than virtually anything;

    For example, the above BMW cost £28,000 new in 2000, and is now worth £5000.

    A Ford Explorer 4.0 XLT North Face cost £28,000 new in 2000, and would now be worth £1500 (If it hadn't been scrapped).

    An Audi A6 2.4SE Auto cost £28,500 new in 2000, and is now worth around £3,500.

  2. I think everyone is being pessimistic.

    This car more take a lot of fuel and has a high mileage.

    But there is no need to be so pessimistic.

    I think that this car may depreciate quite a bit but not towards the standards that the other people have set it at.

    It is obviously not going to be anywhere near the value that you paid for it but i would probably value this car at approximately £2,000 - £3,000 in 4 years.

  3. £1.50   hehehehe x

  4. It would help to know the year of the car. But BMW's tend to depreciate fast off the lot and plateau eventually

  5. What he said.  The milse are already high, it drinks a bit, I would expect it to be realistically worth about a grand in 4 years time, if that.

  6. cars never hold their value because of wear and tear, milage, any scratches or bumps etc! i'd knock a couple of grand off what you paid for it!!  but to be honest, its not really worht too much now was the milage is so high already! imagine what it will be like in another 4 years! i wouldnt buy it just because of the milage!!

  7. Impossible to answer without year and then still cannot predict economy.  Not worth much now with88k on it.  If 2000 or older worth about 5000 without any mechanical problems.

  8. what year is the car?

  9. all of it

  10. £1000 per year .
