I bought a 8G ipod nano and 5 episodes of a show that are around 21 minutes long each so thats about 105 minutes of video or 1 hour and 45 minutes, but my ipod is only syncing 4 of the episodes, is my ipod maxed out for video?

  1. The video files you have are much larger in size than you need for an iPod.

For a half-hour TV show, the files could go down to 150MB each and still be very good for the iPods screen. I usually save 1hr episodes to about 350MB each for playing on a full-size TV.

What you need is a program that can compress your video files. If your on a Mac, try VisualHub. Its cheap ($20) and lets you save movies to any format you want.

EDIT: if you bought these tv shows from the iTunes music store, the copy protection will restrict you from re-compressing the files. If this is the case, then sorry. Now you see why many of us can't stand copy protection on stuff we pay money for.
