How much did a bottle of coke cost in the 1950s? Any ideas?

  2. Coke Cola a 12 oz bottle was 13 cents.

  3. 5 cents and then in the 60's they went up to a dime, talk about inflation.

  5. Coca-Cola was sold in 8-ounce bottles for 5 cents up until the mid-1960s. I used to bring a nickel to school once in a while to buy one from the machine. That was in 1965.

  6. Like most other bottles of soft drinks that size in the '50s, it was sixpence (6d) a bottle.

  7. I don't remember it being on sale in the UK in the 50's, not until the middle 60's, when it was rumoured that coke and an asprin would give you a high! Entirely false, I know, we tried it in our office and all sat around expectantly, only to be disappointed! Oh, the follies of youth!
