How much was a litre of petrol in 1993?

I seem to remember at one of my local garages it was 58p per litre.

anything close to this will be correct, I passed my test in summer 93 but it may have been cheaper in january or more expensive in december.

I think it was about $1.25 or so a gallon if I recall correctly.

passed my test in 1993 could nt afford to fill it up but it was £0.55p a litre
