How much waste is created by wrapping paper?

a ton and i'm lazy so i just hand people their gifts either unwrapped or wrapped in like a dish towel or hand towel.  so it's like 2 gifts in one.

Everyday Ton & Ton of Wrapping Paper used for Packing Gifts.

No body is bothing about this Wrapper is comming.

For E.g. If a person Celebrate a Birthday, Minium 1 or 2 kg of Gift Wrapper is wasted. After Birthday function over, all wrapper will go to dust  Bin only.

I do not why people are accepting/Expecting Gifts and I do not know why people are wasting Wrapper for one day birthday Function which last for 1 Hour.

When Birthday over everybody had Cake/Coke/Cooling drinks and left their house without bothering about Wrapper.

Give a Rose or Flower or a saplings or seeds as birthday Gift.

I personally think quite a bit, which is why I use gift bags and when I give them to someone I encourage them to reuse them. I don't use wrapping paper not unless it is something so big I can't get a bag for it.
