How much water are we wasting when we take long showers?

i want to know about how much water we would save if we took shorter showers? So about how much water are we wasting when we take long showers?

if you use a "navy nozzle" you will save alot and it feels like you are useing alot of water.

well can take long showers as long as you turn off the water while lathering and turn it on only for rinsing.  that way you can take your time instead of rushing while the shower is on continuously which i really hate. just a tip.

i think it would be a better idea to take bathe from a mug and bucket becoz it uses a fixed amount of water and shower is just wasting .

if your shower head is rated for 2 Gallons per minute then a 5 minute shower uses 10 gals of water.If you are all sudsy clean with a 5 minute shower but want to stay in the shower cause it feels good and you stay in for another 20 minutes you have used another 40 gals of water.So to answer your question about the waste of a long shower the extra 20 minutes in the shower wasted 40 gals of water.

The waste is people who buy bottled water, drink the 1/2 liter of it, then toss the plastic in the trash.

At one time water was dispensed out of a tap, your sink may still have one.
