How much water do I need for marching camp?

I have marching band camp in less when a week, and all of my friends tell me that I'll need a lot of water (a full gallon)

But I think a gallon is too much, and it sounds hard to lug around during camp, do you think 32-64 oz would be enough? (I'm thinking of getting a water bottle that'll hold that much)

you should get an insulated gallon bottle,

you will probably drink most of it

i HATE water, the only time i drink it is when i need to swallow medicine

and during band camp i drink a whole gallon

and if yours is cold(put ice in it) other people who didnt bring water will want to drink out of yours

we always just set our water jugs right by our field
