  1. you will need as much water as you put in the mop bucket

  2. Older toilets are particularly big water guzzlers, using 3 or more gallon per flush. New toilets can reduce that consumption significantly with 1.5 gallons.

  3. Older models need approx. 4 gal. Some of the newer low flow models only use about 1 1/2 gal.

  4. Depends on the toilet.

Older models used to be designed to work with 5 or 6 gallons.

Newer models these days use anywhere from 1.5 to 3 gallons.

There have actually been some problems to develop, when many folks on a common system, switched to 'low volume' toilets, hehe.... the old plumbing systems were designed with more water in mind, and with less available, didnt work as well, leading to blockages.  So some cities have had to rework their sewer systems to reflect the new design.

    Good Luck

  5. newer models of the low flow variaty use about 1.5 gallons while older models use 3 or 4 gallons

  6. 1.6 for a low flow. I've seen a toilet that is 1.3, but that is the lowest I know of.
