How much water is drawn up by the sun from a pond that has a 4x8 surface if the temp. is in the low 90s?

everyday i have to add quiet a bit of water to my pond, is it leaking or is this just evaporation?

Hello.

There is absolutely no way anyone can answer this question.  The only way to get an answer is to check your pond for leaks.  If it's not leaking, then the most likely cause of losing water is evaporation. Unless something is drinking it.  

If it were mine, I would consider building a shelter for it to reduce and/or collect the evaporation.

You might even use tall plants to shelter the pond.
