How much water n quarts should I give a mature tomato plant in 90 to 100 degree dry weather?

  1. I water mine about every 3 days with about 3 gal per plant, and they are doing great. Your weather sound just like ours.

You can get a water meter at most any hardware store or nursery.  They cost about $5.00.  You stick it in the soil and it tells you instantly if it is wet or dry.  Never over or under water again.  It usually ends up that we water too much.  It is also important especially with tomatoes to water consistantly.  The meter will do that for you.  Great for houseplants too.
