How much water when cutting up?

I've heard about a gallon a day. I'm 5"10.5 153lbs. Also when I put 6oz of water and ice in my protein shake and blend it, it fills up a 16oz glass. Does this drink count as 6 or 16oz?

Even though this is not a gardening question, I do know the answer.  If it is pure water, it counts as whatever ouncage it is.  In this case where you are mixing it, it counts as 16 ounces because your ice adds additional volume (once it melts).
