How much weatlh was put on to put forth Obama's Aug 28th Speech?

With all that glamour, the rock stars and performers, pyrotechs...etc YOU WOULD THINK THAT WOULD COST MILLIONS.

How come that wealth didn't get transferred over to the poor instead?

Wouldn't that really have been better than wasting millions for freaking speech that everyone else could have watched at home for free...

What are you talking about?  The campaigns always spend money on their conventions.  That's what the money is for.  

Mccain's is smaller because he's not as big a draw as Obama is.  Don't hate.

You would think that the party of and for the people would spread that wealth.

I have said it before.  If our economy is so bad then where has the hundreds of millions of dollars that has been spent by all of the candidates come from.  We have citizens who cry about the money being spent overseas to help make our country safer, but yet they don't care about the money spent to help somebody get a job.

My big question is..........how much did each one of the speakers at the convention get paid?

for all of you liberals.  The point is that your party always talks about the disenfranchised, the poor, the little man, the "common" man.  Here is a great opportunity for your party to give to those people.  But instead they used it for a "rock star" get together.  How many "common" men could afford to spend a week in Denver attending the convention?  Better yet, why not take some of that money and give it to the shelters in Denver.  

Dems talk about being for the people, but the elitists that run that party are for themselves, always have been.

It was a necessary expenditure (investment) in the Asset known as "Obama-Biden" BECAUSE electing Obama-Biden will increase the US economic output by more than the cost of the Democratic party's capital investment in the DNC.

The return on equity will go to the poor.  The DNC cost was an investment with a high rate of return if it won enough votes to get Obama in.
