I have around 4 months or a little longer to lose some weight. Im joining a gym and starting weight watchers. I am going full force, and have no problem doing a lifestyle change! I have gained over 60 pounds in the last 4 years, and I am only 20! My husband is deploying, so I want to look good again when he gets back! I am 175 now and 5'3!

How much do you think I can expect to lose, and what size should I aim for in around 4 months?

  1. You can expect to lose, at most, about 1.5 to 2 pounds of fat per week.  If you lose anything more than this, you're losing water and/or muscle, which is NOT what you want.

Thus, AT BEST, you might lose 32 pounds or so, in four months.  A more reasonable goal might be 25 pounds.

Eat right (no junk food) and exercise.  Eat right and exercise.  Eat right and exercise.  Keep that up and you'll be fine.

  2. You want to lose five pounds every two weeks.

Anything more and you'll be harming your body.

  3. weight watchers and the gym are the perfect choice. Stick with them and you will do well. Don't set yourself a target (if you don't reach it- you may feel a failure and want to give up), just keep focused and committed and it will work out well.

  4. Forget crazy diets for losing weight.. Acai Berry is this new product I've been trying after seeing it on Oprah. I'm already seeing results!! You should give it a shot, here's a special link for a free 14-day trial.
